Feliz Ano Nuevo 2008
We hope everyone had a safe,
and happy
holiday time! Happy new year,
we look forward to diving
with you this year. Thank you for
choosing Diving Safaris!!
The dry season is here. It is a
beautiful time to visit Costa Rica.
The days are warm and breezy and the
nights are full of stars. Papagayo
winds tend to blow this time of year
making the water a little choppy in
the afternoons. This is the time of
year for the Pacific Manta Rays!
They have been spotted at Virador,
Monkey Head and Catalinas. Diving
conditions have been typical with
water averaging 75 with warmer and
cooler thermoclines. Visibility is
from 15 to 60 feet with lots of
eagle rays, southern sting rays, sea
horses, harlequin-clown shrimp,
frogfish and huge schools of fish. I
love hanging out in a cleaning
station watching all the different
types of fish coming in to be
cleaned. *Remember the Pacific is
unpredictable; temperatures and
visibility change daily. We always
recommend our customers to bring
their own full 5/3mm wetsuits this
time of year, especially if they get
cold easily.
As always the best part of our job
is diving with the many friends we
meet above and below the sea. We
look forward to diving with you.
Diving Safaris not only handles
groups of divers we also take care
of small groups and individuals as
well.
Many thanks to all the divers that
have visited us; we wish you a
speedy return.
Once again HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Hasta Pronto!
