In 1997 we decided to
sell everything we owned in Colorado
and buy a dive shop in Costa Rica.
Earl was a deputy sheriff in
Colorado and he created a small
diving business, Pagosah High Dive.
He really enjoyed diving so we
began looking for a destination that
we felt would be a good place to
raise our daughters and retire.
Bill Beards Diving Safaris was
listed for sale in a Dive Training
magazine, so Earl came down to check
it out. He fell in love with the
diving and the people in this
country, so we found a way to make
it happen.
We
chose Costa Rica for its people, we
chose Bill Beards Diving Safaris
because of its well known name and
reputation.
When we bought Diving Safaris I was
scared to death of diving, I was a
horse person. With the help of our
instructors and divemasters I slowly
gained confidence as a diver. As a
divemaster I am now able to help
other people be comfortable in the
water. The diving here
is amazing; the ocean is full of
surprises.
We have had a lot of fun though the
years, made lots of friends, worked
with some incredible people and
have had many fantastic diving
experiences.
Together
with our daughters, Kelley and Karie
Jo, we will continue to operate
Diving Safaris as a family
business.
Thanks to all of our past, present
and future customers for helping us
to achieve our dreams. We look
forward to diving with you.
Earl, Bobbie Jo, Kelley Mae and
Karie Jo Gibbs
